Since ancient times, the Dilldappe has inhabited the forests of the Siegerland. Even today, the hamster-like mythical creatures still live hidden in the forest. Their task is to protect the animals and plants of their homeland. People rarely catch a glimpse of them. Those lucky enough may discover a few small paw prints at the edge of the forest.
The Dilldappenweg in Hainchen presents the everyday life of a Netphener Dilldappen family through 10 display boards. Lovingly designed pictures and comics by Matthias Kringe bring the little forest inhabitants to life. For each station, the Freudenberger chainsaw artist Michael Kolb has created individually designed wooden Dappens. Children, pay attention: Who can spot all the Dilldappen footprints along the way?
The Dilldappenweg is perfect for a leisurely walk with your children. It has gentle inclines, is fully paved, and accessible with strollers.
