TrioVelo - Bike tour through Bad Sassendorf, Möhnesee and Soest

"TrioVelo" connects the city of Soest with the municipalities of Bad Sassendorf and Möhnesee over a distance of around 45 km.
From Möhnesee, the route initially goes uphill towards Soest. The entire historic city center of the bike-friendly old Hanseatic city is literally "experienceable". Alongside numerous architectural monuments made of the globally unique green sandstone and pretty half-timbered houses, the route passes by the Osthofen Gate and the medieval city wall towards the city park. It then continues eastwards to Bad Sassendorf. In this idyllic spa town, the town center, the "Westphalian Salt Worlds" experience museum, the Börde Therme, and the spa park with the new brine graduation tower invite visitors to linger. From there, the route leads over the Haarstrang towards the south into the Möhne Valley. On this picturesque stretch, wide views open up to the heights of the Arnsberg Forest. The route also runs for several kilometers directly along the northern shore of the popular reservoir, which has been repeatedly voted the favorite lake in North Rhine-Westphalia in recent years. Along the way, cyclists will find various dining options.
The tour can also be started in the opposite direction or from Soest or Bad Sassendorf.
