In the Elbtalaue Biosphere Reserve, the information center offers animal experiences, exciting entertainment, and interesting information combined with an aquarium landscape, beaver enclosure, and modern exhibition. The biosphere is nestled in the idyllic half-timbered town of Bleckede. At Radegaster Elbblick, the tour offers a unique 180-degree view of the lower-lying Elbtalaue with its meadows and floodplains all the way to Boizenburg. Between Brackede and Lüdersburg, there are insights into the historically evolved marsh ridge landscape. Shortly after Echem, the tour crosses the Elbe-Seiten Canal and follows it to the Scharnebeck Ship Lift. Since 1974, ships have been transported in a kind of elevator to overcome a height difference of 38 m. Just before Neetze, the Boltersen Barrow Field is located along the way. You can return via Neetze.
