Espelkamp - Picnic tour to the Hochzeitsmühle

Past the Thomas Church, the Biberteich, and the waterworks, the tour leads into the nature reserve "kleine Aue".
Drive on the country road L770 to the first barbecue area "An den Wiesen". Then continue north towards Hochzeitsmühle Tonnenheide. The mill is out of operation and is now used for weddings. A lovely picnic is also possible here.
For those who prefer coffee and cake, the Kaffeehus in'n Strouhe is the place to go. Heading south on the bike path Tonnheider Straße, a break can be taken at the beer garden of a guesthouse in Schmalge. Alternatively, a picnic can be enjoyed at the Dauweg barbecue area.
On the way back to the city center of Espelkamp, one can be inspired by artistically designed facades. If hunger and thirst are still not satisfied, the day can be ended in one of the guesthouses or restaurants in the city center.
