Schüttorf is the oldest city in the district of Bentheim. Magnificent manufacturer villas bear witness to the former textile era - like the historic city center, which is definitely worth seeing.
Start here to Lake Quendorf. Continue past the Kapellenplatz Kluse through forest areas along flower fields to the cultural monument Hünenburg to Emsbüren. Ride through forests and meadows close to the Ems to Salzbergen. Over Steider Heck along the Samerrott, you will reach the historic farmstead "Schulze-Holmer" back into the Vechte Valley. Take a leisurely stroll to the Ziegenbrunnen and the Old Town Hall. From the 81 m high church tower "Schüttorfer Riesen" you can admire your tour once again from above.
