After about 2 km, turn left to walk to the Altendeich, an old dike line as the name suggests, through the meadows and fields of the marshland. There are hardly any shelter options until you reach the Altendeich, so you can experience the respective climatic conditions up close.
Old tree stands provide shade along the Altendeich route. To return to the starting point of the tour, you will pass through the holiday home settlements of Dorum-Neufeld again. Along the way, there are plenty of opportunities to rest and pause.
