Römerpfade - Venuspfad

On the 8.1 km Venus Trail near Limbach, you can hike past evidence of the Roman past and experience history and nature at the same time.

Starting from the Balsbach hiking parking lot, always follow the markings "R". Right at the start of the comfort tour, you can take a short detour to the former Roman watchtower on the Heunebuckel can be undertaken.

After the detour to Heunebuckel, continue to follow the trail markings in the direction of Balsbach. The next highlight of the route is the faithfully reconstructed stone monument to Victoria (can also be seen in the in the Wagenschwend Museum).

In the center of Balsbach you can see the former monastery, which has a moving history.

Further on, you pass numerous historic wayside shrines, a Jupiter bench that invites you to take a break and a reconstructed Limes palisade. In Wagenschwend, you should definitely visit the village museum visit.
