The 5 km long tour starts at the Schultal car park in the center of Altenau.
Opposite the car park is the turnoff to the street "An der Bornkappe". Walk uphill on this street for about 50 m and then turn left onto the forest road, the "Wellner Weg". Follow the "Wellner Weg" for about 1.5 km. Then turn left and walk 1.8 km along the light path. You will reach a junction and keep left here. After about 1 km you will reach Hüttenstraße. Walk up Hüttenstraße to the center (roundabout). Turning right, you will reach the Schultal car park.
