From the hanging beech to the Else meadow

The nature tour through the municipality of Kirchlengern starts in the center at the church and town hall. Heading east, it passes a stream renaturation site along Ulenburger Allee to Ulenburg Castle. A family tombstone recalls the old privileges of important families and a small museum tells the history of the fire department. In the northern part of the tour, you will be accompanied by the water network of the Rehmerloh-Mennighüffer-Mühlenbach. Numerous branches of the stream with a mosaic of grassland, fields, tall herbs, and forest enrich the landscape up to Stift Quernheim. Well-informed about the abbey ladies in the manor house, the tour returns to the Else River and the city center of Kirchlengern. A shortcut allows a division of the bike tour.
