From the starting point, the "Hachtor", you first ride a short distance through the historic city center of Rüthen towards the cemetery. This is located on the grounds of the city's former castle. Right in front of the cemetery, you turn right down the Borgberg and continue in the valley of the Kitzelbach. After crossing the B 516 and the Möhne River, the tour leads eastward parallel to the Möhne to the Hankerfeld industrial area, from there through the picturesque "Bibertal" valley, past the outdoor pool to the beginning of the "Walderlebnispfad Bibertal" (forest adventure trail Bibertal). Here, the route turns right. You ascend into the Rüthen city forest. You ride a longer distance along the ridge path. Shortly before the Brilon city forest, you turn left onto the cross path down into the Upper Bibertal, then up on the opposite side and down again to reach the Möhne valley. The B 516 is crossed again and you ascend the Hengelsbachtal valley on the opposite side. At the border to Büren (Historic boundary stone / border to the districts of Soest-Paderborn-Hochsauerlandkreis), you initially climb the mountain to the left, then turn left towards the valley after only 400m. After another 400m, the route turns northwest and leads below the Immenköpfe hills to the K 45. You follow this uphill and reach the turnoff to the "Römerlager Kneblinghausen" at the forest edge. Immediately after that are the horse paddocks of the "Gestüt Wittekindshof", one of the most successful stud farms in Germany. You continue northward until just before the Meiste industrial area, which you bypass on the left. West of the village of Meiste, you leisurely follow the cycle path back to the starting point in the city center of Rüthen.
