Public transport tour: On the Rothaarsteig from Burbach-Würgendorf to Haiger

Starting point of the hike is the train station in Burbach-Würgendorf. A few steps from the train station, the Westerwald variant of the Rothaarsteig runs. Heading north, the trail leads over the Sinnerhöfchen to the Kalteiche. Passing a huge, former Kyrill area, you reach the point where the Rothaarsteig splits. You now switch to the south towards the Dill variant of the Rothaarsteig and reach the Lucaseiche. The approximately 220-year-old tree is protected as a natural monument and offers a place to rest. After passing the Forsthaus Steinbach, you descend to Rodenbach. Here you have the option to return home. For those who are not yet satisfied, continue and leave the Rothaarsteig at the edge of Rodenbach to hike south via the access road Haiger-Nord to the Haiger train station.
