The fourth stage of the Hohenzollern Trail leads from Killer via Ringingen, Burladingen and Gauselfingen to Gammertingen.
We walk past the ruins of Hohenringingen and the Höllenstein cave towards Burladingen. From there, continue to Gammertingen, where the leisure facility on the Lauchert awaits.
We walk past the church, left down Unterdorfstraße and right up Breitholzstraße. We follow the tarred path to the left to the edge of the forest and then climb up to Killerberg (rest area and refuge). The hiking trail leads east out of the forest and on to Ringingen. At the entrance to the village, we come to Alte Killer Straße and immediately turn right along Helschlochstraße. Pass a fountain and continue along a steep road until you reach a hiking parking lot on the K 7161. From there, the path leads up to the left to the Ruine Hohenringingen on the Nähberg. The keep (lookout tower) is accessible. From the parking lot, we continue on our way and follow the road parallel to Burladingen to the Bäbeloch parking lot. Here we walk left up an avenue road to the first bend. There is a memorial cross with a popular saying. We leave the forest road to the right, past the old quarry. At a fork in the path, we take the left-hand path and eventually come to the forest road again, which we follow to the right. After a short time, we come to the signpost Ruine Ringelstein (Aloisschlößle). The short detour to the right to the ruins is worthwhile.
The markings lead us half-left onto an overgrown forest path. As soon as you reach the top, you come to a meadow, which you skirt on the right-hand edge of the forest. Head left towards the gentle elevation of the Titusenköpfle . There is a stone cross on the hill with the same inscription as the memorial cross on the forest road. Beautiful view of the Kuppenalb
.Continue via the Kreuzfelsen (detour 40 m) to the Burgruine Hochwacht and through the forest past the Höllenstein-Höhle to Burladingen. The hiking trail ends directly at the Hohe Wacht road, on which we turn left downhill to Stettener Straße, continue over the level crossing, Gammertinger Straße and over the Fehlabrücke bridge. After the bridge, we turn left into Mühlweg and walk straight ahead below the sawmill through meadows, past a field cross. Shortly before the level crossing, turn half right uphill, always along the edge of the forest and the railroad line to reach Gauselfingen. In Gauselfingen, we cross the Fehla and the B 32, walk briefly along Haslebergstraße, then turn right up the steps at Zinken. Above the new church, we reach the Alb plateau on a tarred path. At the top, we turn left and follow the road in an easterly direction. Shortly before the small group of trees and a crossroads, we leave the markings and follow the field path half-right along the Langen Lichse. After the field cross, we come to a forest parking lot. We follow the path to the right and turn left at the edge of the forest onto a gravel road. At a crossroads, take a sharp left and after a few steps turn right towards Eulenloch (former dwelling cave from the Urnfield period).
We descend in a southerly direction to the Lauchert and walk in the valley on the right along the edge of the forest to Gammertingen.
