Weilheim: Rosen Wanderweg

This hiking trail connects a large number of districts, all of which belong to the municipality of Weilheim. Along the route, hikers can expect wonderful views, rose gardens in all districts, wild roses along the way and the Haselbach waterfall.

An approx. 33 km long hiking trail, which can also be hiked in sections, leads along roses through villages with many sights. With a bit of luck, you can enjoy the view of the Swiss Alps in fine weather. Along the entire hiking trail, you will repeatedly discover wild roses and beautiful viewpoints with views of the Hotzenwald or the Black Forest.

The Haselbach waterfall is idyllically situated in a wild and romantic valley. Take a break on a bench along the Haselbach stream and enjoy the tranquillity of the surroundings.

The trail leads through forests and meadows and if you walk through the landscape with your eyes open, you can discover unusual plants along the way.

A particular highlight is the rose village. The unique rose assortment garden or the rose fragrance garden offer an extraordinary color and fragrance experience. The whole place is beautifully laid out with over 16,500 roses. A water treading pool offers tired feet a little refreshment.Exceptional places to stop for refreshments along the way include the Waldhaus brewery inn, Kellers Hofladen farm store with stand-up café in Außer-Ay or the Cafe Gretstube in Nöggenschwiel. If you want to barbecue along the way, you will find various barbecue facilities in the districts of Bannholz, Remetschwiel, Nöggenschwiel and Brunnadern.
