Auf den winterlichen Siebensteinkopf

This varied and physically demanding tour takes us to the eastern part of the national park. In addition to the summit experience on the Siebensteinkopf, cultural and historical evidence of life in and from the forest in the past awaits us, such as the Reschbachklause. Today's landscape is characterized by natural dynamics: Windthrow, snowfall and bark beetles, but also the beaver, are the shapers of the national park forests and waters. With the Finsterauer Filz, we discover a renaturalized moorland area that has been part of the Bavarian Forest National Park since 2022.

PLEASE NOTE when arriving by car:
The Wistlberg parking lot is currently closed. We recommend taking the Igelbus (Winterigelbus line 604 A) or using the parking spaces at the Finsterau ski and sports stadium. From there, follow the national park cycle path towards Bučina or the cross-country ski trail, after approx. 600 meters you will reach the tour route. Please be considerate of cross-country skiers and do not step into the trail.
