Description by the author

The 'Steinpilz' hiking route starts in Grafenau and first leads through the villages of Grüb and Großarmschlag to Reichenberg and the town center of Riedlhütte. The national park begins at the edge of the village. The Ölbach stream is crossed on short boardwalks and bridges until you finally reach the national park road and cross it. The path then continues until you reach a forest path. Continue past the Neuhüttenwiese meadow until you finally reach the Racheldiensthütte hut and the Schachtenbachklause next to it.
