The starting point of the approx. 18 km long hike on the Danube is in Günzburg. The relaxed journey takes you past Reisensburg Castle, the Danube Valley Railway, nature reserves and one of the largest bird migration sites in southern Germany on the Danube reservoir near Faimingen.
On the way, there are three barrages with boat locks in Offingen (2556.4), Gundelfingen (2551.9) and Faimingen (2545.6).
Tip: At river kilometer 2554.3, you can take a break at the cycle filling station in Offingen. After the beer garden, there is a boat landing on the left bank.
