Note:
Part of this tour is currently closed to allow peregrine falcons to breed and raise their young undisturbed. This applies to the section through the Höllbachgespreng. From the Höllbach Falls, a detour via the Sulzschachten is signposted.
On the challenging tour to the Großer Falkenstein (1,315 m), the trail leads up through the Höllbachgespreng, a wild and romantic landscape with many small waterfalls and pristine mixed mountain forest. At the Falkenstein summit, the view is breathtaking and just below is a cozy stop at the Schutzhaus. Descend via the Ruckowitzschachten and the Mittelsteighütte primeval forest area.
