Sagenweg Wildweibchenstein

This circular route takes in the legendary Rodenstein ruins, the Fallender Bach stream and the "Wildweibchenstein" near Laudenau. Perhaps one of the wild "females" is just peeking out from behind the trees. Along the way, wonderful views of the Buchwald forest make our hearts beat faster. We continue into the valley on a section of the forest nature trail.

Way description:
The starting point of the circular trail is the center of Reichelsheim. We walk along Beerfurther Straße in a westerly direction, leaving Rathausplatz on the left and following Bismarckstraße for a short distance. Laudenauer Straße will eventually lead us out of Reichelsheim. We soon reach the first refuge across fields and meadows. We continue uphill through the forest. At the edge of the forest, we turn sharp right and follow the R1 to the north. Behind the 2nd refuge, we are surprised by a magnificent panoramic view. We keep heading west for about 400 meters in altitude until we reach Freiheit. We soon leave the highest point of our hike behind us, pass the Wildweibchenstein and walk downhill past the Fallenden Bach stream to the Rodenstein ruins. Behind the Rodenstein nature reserve, we walk along the forest for a while and follow the K76 in a south-easterly direction. After a short detour to the north across fields and meadows, the trail leads us back down to Reichelsheim via Klingenberg.
