"Langenselbolder Buchbergrunde" Spessartspur

From the parking lot on the Burgberg, take a short feeder road to the start of the "Buchbergrunde". After a short distance, you reach the Spessartbogen long-distance hiking trail. The trail follows the course of the Spessartbogen to the Käfernberghütte near Oberrodenbach. The trail continues downhill to the Rodenbach valley, where it follows the course of the stream to the edge of the forest.
The trail continues north along the edge of the forest. Past the Rodenbach animal cemetery, the trail heads back into the forest until the short ascent up the Buchberg.

Tips and further information

A visit to the Buchberg Tower is well worth it! It offers a great view over the wooded Spessart hilltops. An adjoining restaurant invites you to linger after your hike.
