The Spessart trail starts at the "Langer Grund" parking lot and leads slowly uphill in the Jossa valley to the village of Lettgenbrunn. The trail soon meets the Spessart trail "Junge Jossa Lettgenbrunn". After the paths have run parallel for a while, they separate again and the Spessart trail leads uphill through meadows and fields to the edge of the forest. There are beautiful views before you reach the next prominent destination, the "Köhlerhütte", once again in the forest. The rest of the trail leads downhill back to the starting point.
