Circular route around Wehrsdorf and Sohland on the Spree

The municipality of Sohland on the Spree River consists of three villages that are closely connected.
Of great importance is the large number of Umgebinde houses, especially in the village of Wehrsdorf, which can be experienced up close through this hiking suggestion. In combination with old granite troughs or occasional sundials on the gables, the view can wander past the old houses with their unique timber framing style over the gently spread out landscape of the Upper Lusatian mountain region.
Through quiet forests, where only the wind in the trees and the birds sing, the adventurous hiker wanders into the village of Sohland, where splendid views and interesting buildings towards the town center can be admired. The path continues along the reservoir, a recreational area with a good opportunity for a refreshing break on or by the water. Returning towards the start of the circular tour through peaceful streets, a rest can be taken in Wehrsdorf at the Leuner quarry, enjoying the unique view of Wehrsdorf.
