Ralbitz-Rosenthal - Tour 3

A leisurely lowland hike through long pine forests and along easily accessible field paths in the middle of the Sorbian settlement area
The bilingual municipality of Ralbitz-Rosenthal is located in the heart of Sorbian-speaking Lusatia. Many Sorbian traditions and customs are still lovingly preserved in the villages.
Rosenthal is home to a Marian pilgrimage site, which was looked after by Cistercians until 2007. Several pilgrimages take place on the pilgrimage meadow every year, including that of the diocese of Dresden-Meißen. The Rosenthal pilgrimage site is one of the five pilgrimage sites that have been part of the "Central European Pilgrimage Sites" association since 2000.
The municipality recommends 5 lowland hiking tours through its local forests and meadows; across meadows and fields. This tour is the longest and is also suitable as a cycling tour (you would only have to push your bike on a short section through the forest due to the uneven terrain).
