The hiking trail starts at the Grundmühle mill in the Seifersdorf valley and first leads to Wachau. You pass the "Wandersmann", a carved wooden figure and popular photo motif. The trail then leads through the beautifully redesigned castle park. The baroque castle itself can only be viewed from the outside. The path leads north along the Saugraben to the district of Lomnnitz until it finally ends at the Fünfhufenteich pond. From here, it is possible to walk back to Wachau along the "Lausitzer Schlange" hiking trail.
