Spreepanorama-Route 4

Starting at the town hall, head north out of the old town. After passing through the Nicolaipforte, the steps of the same name lead down to Gerberstraße. At the Hammermühle crossing the Spree, soon turn left onto the "Protschenbergstufen". At the top, after enjoying Bautzen's most romantic panorama, the path continues down into the valley to the Old Tannery. After this, steps lead up to the Peace Bridge. Cross the street and head down Am Feldschlößchen towards the Holy Spirit Bridge (memorial stone 1813 on the right). After the bridge, turn right onto the Spreerad/Jakobsweg, following the river to Humboldthain, where the cycle path turns right. A shortcut would be to cross the Spree here and walk along the Bombardier site to Preuschwitzer Straße. Otherwise, continue along the Neuesche Promenade, keeping left to walk along the river. In Grubschütz (refreshment option), follow Preuschwitzer Straße, keeping left, into the city. At the New Water Art, head back down to the Spree.
