This circular hiking trail connects the two districts of Bautzen and Görlitz. The section through the Upper Lusatian Heath and Pond Landscape is approx. 55 km long and crosses the "UNESCO Biosphere Reserve Upper Lusatian Heath and Pond Landscape", the Sorbian settlement area, the KRABAT region and the Lusatian carp pond region.
