Guttau/Wartha is a paradise for nature lovers looking for peace and relaxation and an encounter with a unique ecosystem. Since the 18th century, there has been an efficient pond industry here, which is still in operation today.
Wartha is home to the biosphere reserve administration and the HAUS DER TAUSEND TEICHE, a visitor information center with a barrier-free experience exhibition and many information opportunities. Here you can find a wealth of information on exploring the nature trail, the sea eagle circular trail, wild herb tours and many other topics.
The surrounding area is also an Eldorado for cyclists. A network of scenic cycling and hiking trails leads to many of the 350 ponds and leaves room for individual discovery of the impressive biodiversity.
