Historischer Weg Putzkau

The historical hiking trail brings the history of the village of Putzkau from its first mention in 1344 to the present day to life. Evidence from the early days are the large buildings of the old farmstead, the church and the hereditary court, which have been preserved to this day. The village grew, with farmhouses being joined by outhouses, craftsmen's houses and settlement houses. With industrialization came buildings in the Art Nouveau style, such as the schools and the teachers' houses. Others had to give way completely, such as the Neuhof with its baroque garden to today's kindergarten. The appearance and size of the former estate can be reconstructed from old plans and drawings. Even without wealth, the inhabitants always knew how to enhance the place and the buildings with loving details that escape notice in the rush of everyday life.
