The Luther Trail in Saxony is a spiritual circular hiking trail. It invites you to hike in the footsteps of the Reformation and visit interesting places of activity.
Description
It connects 27 places where Luther and his companions worked. The strong women of the Reformation are also remembered along the way - for example in Nimbschen Monastery near Grimma, where Luther's future wife Katharina von Bora lived. Or at Rochlitz Castle and Kriebstein Castle, where Duchess Elisabeth von Rochlitz introduced the Reformation despite all resistance.
The total length of the trail is a good 564 kilometers, but can of course be hiked in sections.
