The legend trail is a 4.5 km long hiking trail around the 583 m high Kottmar with explanatory boards about ten legends that have grown up around the Kottmarberg. The legends of the Kottmarberg include, for example, the legend of the wolf pits, the crystal coffin and the legend of the gold cellar. The circular trail is easy to hike despite the slight differences in altitude. Several vantage points along the circular trail offer views of the Upper Lusatian mountains as well as the Iser, Jeschken and Zittau mountains.
