The tour starts at the Schultal parking lot in the center of Altenau. Opposite the parking lot is the turnoff to the road "An der Bornkappe".
Walk up this road for about 50 meters and then turn left onto the forest road, the "Wellner Weg". Follow the "Wellner Weg" for about 3.5 km. Then turn left and head towards Kellwassertal, Okertalsperre. After about 3 km, you will reach a junction, keep left here. After about 1.5 km, you will reach another fork in the road. From here, please turn right downhill towards Hüttenstraße. Walk up Hüttenstraße to the center (roundabout). Turning right, you will reach the Schultal parking lot.
