The 5.5 km long circuit can be divided into various sections. Round variations are possible, e.g. 800 m; 1.5 km; 1.7 km or 2.3 km. This trail is a very challenging route. A lot of stamina is required, as the course runs uphill or straight over many sections. Furthermore, good driving skills are advantageous. The special feature of this trail is that it is a skating trail.
DSV Premium Trail
This trail is a certified DSV Premium Trail.
Together with municipalities in the Western Harz region and the districts of Goslar and Osterode am Harz, the Safety in Skiing Foundation (SIS) and the German Ski Association (DSV) have been working in recent years for a qualitative development of the trail network in the Harz region. The trails have been certified as DSV nordic aktiv centers according to international criteria, signposted with a uniform system, and equipped with information boards.
