Cuckoo - Cross-country ski trail

Depending on the snow conditions, you can either start directly at the parking lot on the cross-country ski trail or follow Silberbachstraße for about 150 meters and start your cross-country skiing tour there. In the right turn or on the trail, keep to the far left. From here, the trail extends at the foot of the Kuckucks over meadows for about 700 meters at almost the same level. After a small descent, there is a sharp turn at the so-called Schlangenborn. With a view of the Wiedatal and the opposite Käseberg, the tour continues for about 800 meters back to the starting point at Käseberg.

This trail is a certified DSV Premium Trail.
Together with municipalities in the West Harz and the districts of Goslar and Osterode am Harz, the Safety in Skiing Foundation (SIS) and the German Ski Association (DSV) have been working in recent years for a qualitative development of the trail network in the Harz region. The trails have been certified as DSV nordic aktiv centers according to international criteria, signposted with a uniform system, and equipped with information boards.
