From Bleckede Castle take the ferry across the Elbe to Preten to the Storkenkate. Continue to Neuhaus, then to Konau with the Archezentrum and Tourist Information. Take the ferry at Neu Darchau across the Elbe and back. All about the birds of the Elbe Valley.
The Biosphaerium is the information and experience center for the Lower Saxon Elbe Valley Biosphere Reserve. An aquarium landscape, lively beavers, and over 1000 square meters of modern exhibition space make one of the most interesting and original landscapes of Central Europe understandable and tangible.
After crossing to the other side of the Elbe, the bird species can then be discovered live in the landscape. Near the Pretener Storkenkate and the surrounding Sudewiesen, Koniks (horses) and Heck cattle live together harmoniously. Continue on to Neuhaus. Insights into recent history are provided in the nearby Pforthaus. From there, cycle to Konau. Here you will find the tourist information office and the Archezentrum Amt Neuhuas with lots of information about old livestock breeds. Konau-Popelau is a marsh village with many traces of the German-German border history. Along the Elbe, head to Darchau and from there, the Elbe ferry will take you across the Elbe to Neu Darchau. On the other side of the Elbe, in the old village center of Walmsburg, you can still see the listed village center of the round village. Just before Alt Garge, the water of the forest pool entices you to take a break. In the village center, a railbike station invites you for a short ride. From there, return to Bleckede.
