The circular hiking trail, slightly over 10 km long, leads from the Wingst waterworks through the Wingster forest to the Jewish cemetery. From there, it continues to the Ernst-August-von-der-Wense-Weg and then leaves the forest at the Wingster municipality border, passing through the outskirts of Cadenberge and the Altenfluther Moor. At the outskirts, Radlers Rast rest stop invites you to take a break. There is a connection with hiking trail W6 towards Cadenberge train station. The W1 leads you to the Wingster district of Höden and back into the forest, or along the edge of the forest to the Wolf and Bear Forest of the Wingst Zoo. From there, it goes through the Wingst spa park and the forest playground back to the waterworks.
