The Lusatian Snake is a long-distance hiking trail that winds its way from Dresden-Saxon Switzerland - Upper Lusatian Highlands - Zittau Mountains - Heath and Pond Landscape to the Lusatian Lakeland.
In the section from Wilthen to Obergurig, a small dreamy town with many benches to rest and cozy restaurants awaits you. If you leave the path a little, you can also climb up to the Mönchswalder Bergbaude lookout tower or enjoy nature along the fish ponds in the oak forest and find out what the legend of "The Eternal Thirst" is all about.
