The hiking trail runs through northern Saxony to the state border at Cosel, a district of the municipality of Grüngräbchen. In Brandenburg, the hiking trail continues to Großkoschen on Lake Senftenberg. The hiking trail can therefore be seen as a western alternative route to the "Lausitzer Schlange".
