Xanten - Rees - Xanten

This very popular bike tour offers a lot of fun and variety through the scenic route and the two crossings of the Rhine by ferry. In Xanten, you cross the Rhine with the bike and passenger ferry to get to Bislich. On the dike, you have a beautiful view of the village. A detour inside is worthwhile. It continues partly along the dike and through fields to other villages until shortly before Rees, where you cycle along the Planet Path on the dike. At the end of the Planet Path is the sculpture park and from here you go to the beautiful town of Rees. Again with a ferry, you go to the left bank of the Rhine to "Reeserschanz". From here, through the fields, past the Xanten North and South Lake back to Xanten.
