To the Sanssouci of the Lower Rhine - Kamp Abbey

The way to the absolute highlight of this bike tour must first be earned. But promised: it's worth it! The direct way south from Xanten always leads over the Fürstenberg: but this incline is also worth the effort. Here it is worth taking a little "detour": both from the Hotel Fürstenberg left towards the Kreuzkapelle, as well as from the hotel right along all 3 paths to at least use as a short detour. The view of the Xanten Cathedral & Roman Museum (1st path on the right), the panoramic view over Birten to the Ruhr area (2nd path on the right), and the information boards about the Roman camp Castra Vetera (3rd path on the right) should not be missed. It continues through alternating landscapes and places to Kloster Kamp with its famous terraced and baroque garden. Back over Rheinberg, continuing through its villages in a large loop always along the Rhine to the Bislicher Insel and back to Xanten.
