The route initially leads south along the Oder-Neisse cycle path to the Einsiedel cultural island in Zentendorf. A pontoon bridge has been built over the Neisse here, which you and your bike can use to get to the Polish side. Quiet forest paths lead to Bielawa Dolna (formerly Nieder - Bielau) with a small playground, tree house and "fate plaques". A little further on, Bar Lesna provides an opportunity for a rest. After about 6 km on the country road heading south, you will reach Piensk (formerly Penzig). There is a pedestrian and cycle bridge to cross the Neisse here. On the German side, you cycle back to Rothenburg on the Oder-Neisse cycle path. At Zentendorf, a detour to the easternmost point in Germany is worthwhile.
