Already in the late 18th century, silver-bearing ore was mined on Silberberg. As a special feature of its historical use, today limestone grasslands can be found on Silberberg, where again gentian and orchid species thrive. Silberberg was already placed under nature protection in 1937. Due to its special natural beauty, we kindly ask for careful hiking on this TERRA.track. Via a path from the hiking car park Lorenkamp, we reach the approximately 6 km long hiking suggestion.
