In the eastern FFH protected area of the natural Hahlener Moor landscape, some parts have been rewetted. In the large, open raised bog area created by peat removal, which is characterized by heather, cotton grass, birch marsh forests, and cotton grass, the bog can regenerate. Information boards are set up along the educational trail, providing information about the peat formation and the plant and animal life found there. The area can be explored from an unusual perspective from an observation tower. At certain times, it is recommended to walk through the moor with waterproof, sturdy footwear.
