We start our circular route around Spitzingsee in the village of Spitzingsee, where we can also leave our car. We stroll past the ArabellaSheraton Alpenhotel along the lakeside promenade towards the Taubensteinbahn cable car. The path is clearly signposted and you can't really miss it. About halfway along, the hiking trail moves away from the lake a little and we hike up to the curved lift; past the BLSV house, we continue through the forest and along the lake back to the village of Spitzingsee.
