Zur Sigrizalm und auf den Rechelkopf

We leave our car in Marienstein in the area of the former cement factory. Coal was also mined here in the past. We walk in a westerly direction to the end of the village. At the fork in the path, we keep left and hike into the valley, initially on a moderate incline. We follow the signs towards Rechelkopf. The path becomes steeper and takes us up to the Sigrizalm. From here, we follow the meadow path up to the Rechelkopf. At an altitude of 1330 meters, it is one of the highest peaks in the mountains between Bad Tölz and Lake Tegernsee. Once at the top, we enjoy the sweeping views in all directions, with particularly beautiful views of the Karwendel mountains and the Benediktenwand.

After a long rest and a snack on the summit, we hike back to Marienstein via the Sigrizalm.
