Alpen- und Waginger Seeblick-Tour "8"

From Waging, follow the signs for "8" first along Geppingerstraße, then follow the signs to the left and follow the dirt road to Füging. On the way up you have a wonderful view over Waging and the lake, halfway up there is a bench where you can rest and enjoy the view.

After the hamlet of Füging, the trail leads through the forest to Sprinzenberg and from there on to Otting. In Otting, you have the opportunity to stop at the Oberwirt inn and visit the church of St. Stephanus, which was consecrated in 749 by Bishop Virgil.

From the church, the trail then leads back to Waging. You leave Otting via Pfarrer-Haslwimmer-Straße, cross the main road at the end of the street and follow the hiking trail through the forest to Oberleiten. As you leave the forest, you have a wonderful view over the meadows and forests as far as the Chiemgau Alps, and several benches along the way invite you to enjoy this view to the full. To get to Waging, turn your back on Oberleiten and follow the field path to Gessenberg, you can only see Gessenberg Castle from the outside as it is privately owned, you can visit the castle chapel.

After Gessenberg, the path branches off to the left and in the forest the hiking trail goes off to the right, leaving the forest section you have reached Waging again.
