Rund um den Schwarzenberg

The tour starts at the school building in Elbach. We first follow the trim trail and walk along a meadow path to Kirchstiegl, where we can take our first break at the Kirchstiegl inn. After approx. 500 meters on the asphalt road, we turn right onto a field path to Deisenried. Passing farms along the way, we walk in a left-hand direction and cross the main road. After turning onto a small meadow path, we reach a hill. After reaching the tarred road, we immediately turn right again onto a field and meadow path. Over a ridge we come to Hocheck, where we can stop for a bite to eat and enjoy the magnificent view. From here we walk downhill on a hiking trail with steps via Sonnenleiten to Roßruck. After crossing the main road, we follow a gravel and forest path and reach the Tregleralm via Weißenbach. Here, too, there is a refreshment stop with a wonderful viewpoint. We continue along the forest road towards Schwarzenberg until we reach the Way of the Cross, then turn left and walk to Durham. Before the "Braun-Hof", we turn right and return to the starting point at the schoolhouse in Elbach via the Elbach gorge.
Alternatively to this route, we can also walk along the forest road towards Schwarzenberg as far as the Kreuzweg, then turn right and walk along a hiking trail to the Schwarzenberghaus and Schwarzenberg summit, from where we have a wonderful view. The descent then takes us over the Steingraben to the starting point, the schoolhouse in Elbach.
