Starting from Miesbach town center/railway station, we first head north on the west side of the station on a small asphalt/gravel path (this can also be bypassed on Wallenburger Straße and Schützenstraße).
After a few hundred meters, we cross the Schopfgraben and start the first ascent of the cycle route, which leads us to the Wies. Here we keep left and pass the Krauthof farm café. The route continues past fruit trees and across extensive meadows past the beautifully situated Hofgut Lichtenau. After passing a small avenue and a section of woodland, we reach the Miesbach district of Schweinthal, where we can easily cross under the B 472 road via a tunnel. The subsequent southern part of the Wies is also characterized by small chapels, fruit trees and farms in a secluded location - there is also an inviting panoramic view of the heights of the Mangfallgebirge to the south, but the view to the north also shows us that the Taubenberg definitely deserves the name "mountain".
Small, perfectly asphalted roads wind their way through the Bavarian picture-book landscape and finally bring us to the end of the plateau near Eck. Here the route descends steeply to the state road 2076 that connects Gmund and Hausham. Road cyclists can turn right here to protect their tires and carefully follow the state road to the continuation of the loop behind Ostin (a good 2 km). With better tires, cross the state road and keep left for a short distance until you can leave the state road again - a further climb up to a farm opens up the cycle path from Tegernsee to Schliersee, on which a section of the Bodensee-Königsee cycle path also runs. We now follow this to the west, rapidly downhill, past the Ödberg leisure area and through the hamlet of Niemandsbichl in the direction of Gmund. The state road is crossed again and you reach the Schwarzenbach estate. From here, it is not far to the Mangfall valley north of Gmund - we follow the Mangfall, which is still young here and has its source in nearby Tegernsee, and admire the numerous trout in the sapphire-blue Mangfall canal.
After passing the Ebener Bach stream, the route climbs again via the hamlets of Berg, Schmerold and Grund to Waldhof. After this last challenging ascent of the tour, we follow the familiar route northwards for a while, but keep to the right at the striking Gießhof Chapel to reach the Miesbach district of Haidmühl and, after a short walk, the starting point of the tour.
