Description by the author

Thanks to the good public transport connections (train from Munich to Fischhausen-Neuhaus and then ski bus to Spitzingsee) and the large parking lot directly at the valley station of the Taubensteinbahn, this is a popular tour that is perfect for ski tour beginners. The avalanche risk is low due to the old ski slope. But be careful! There is always danger!

You can stop for refreshments at the Taubensteingipfelstüberl or the Taubensteinhaus (short climb back to the Taubensteinbahn mountain station).

Please keep to the specified ascents and descents and pay attention to the wildlife protection areas and the forest/wildlife sanctuaries!
