High-altitude hike on the Heuberg and along the Albtrauf with the best views as far as the Black Forest
This "superlative" hike offers the opportunity to hike the eaves edge of the Alb with Klippeneck and (with a small detour) Dreifaltigkeitsberg without any significant inclines.
Start in Böttingen, the highest municipality in the former Kingdom of Württemberg.
The highest point of the tour is the "Hummelsberg" at 1002 m, one of the mountains in the "Region of the 10 Thousanders" on the Heuberg, the highest part of the Swabian Alb.
As Germany's highest gliding airfield, Klippeneck is also the place with the most hours of sunshine measured in Germany. However, this record dates back to 1959 and is probably now obsolete.</p
