Kulturlandschaftspfad Bubach

The nature trail is a six-kilometre circular route starting and finishing at the Bubach sports field. A total of eight stations with 17 information boards present various topics relating to the forest, the Bubach grazing project, the orchard habitat with its fauna and flora, the village history of the cherry village of Bubach and archaeological finds and excavation sites in words and pictures. The Vis-à-Vis project features three stations with a total of eight educational panels on the subject of orchards. Hardly any other habitat is as diverse as the orchard meadow. They provide more than just cherries and apples. Regional agricultural products of exceptional quality are produced here, which can be purchased directly from local producers or at the local produce market at Wendelinushof. The historical part of the nature trail is also very interesting for visitors at stations 6, 7 and 8, where the "Preußenwacht" in the heart of the former "Kingdom in the Ostertal" and the Roman "Villa rustica" at Heidenbösch are presented. Extensive remains of a Roman farm lie here under fields and meadows. At the last stop, the history of the village of Bubach is presented.</p
