Hearing Museum Blankenrode

Within the framework of the "Children's Adventure World Nature", the Teutoburg Forest/Eggegebirge Nature Park has acoustically brought the deserted town of Blankenrode back to life!
At selected locations along hiking trail A3, visitors can immerse themselves in the depths of the Middle Ages at twelve listening stations - specifically in the year 1393 when the town of Blankenrode was abandoned and became deserted.
So if you want to learn more about the medieval town, embark on a journey back in time. Agnes and Konrad, two children from the old town of Blankenrode, will take you on a special museum experience journey, accompanied by typical sounds that match each location. The hammering of a blacksmith, the clatter of horse hooves, and the shouting at the market will help you to imagine life over 600 years ago, even though only walls of the town remain visible. Today, the area of the former town is covered by forest.
